Biography

Natsuyo N. Lipschutz, CSP, MBA
“The Culture Choreographer”
Cross-Cultural Team Communication Strategist

Natsuyo Lipschutz, CSP, MBA is the managing principal of her strategy consulting firm, ASPIRE Intelligence. She is also an executive consultant for Breakthrough Speaking, a global public speaking consultancy.

Known as “The Culture Choreographer,” Natsuyo created the thought-provoking concept, The Culture of One® — the idea that real cross-cultural collaboration begins with understanding each person as an individual, not by sorting them into nationality, ethnicity, or familiar cultural frameworks.

A career built on both sides of the table

Before she was a speaker, Natsuyo worked inside the rooms she now helps other leaders navigate — at ITOCHU International, one of Japan’s largest trading companies, and later at McKinsey & Company. Few people in the cross-cultural speaking space have worked inside both a major Japanese company and a top American strategy firm. That’s where the Culture of One idea actually came from, tested against real teams long before it became a keynote.

Why “The Culture Choreographer”

Natsuyo is also a competitive ballroom Latin dance national finalist. The best dance partnerships are built on trust and intentional response, not control — and she’s found the same is true of the strongest cross-cultural teams. Underneath it is something more personal: 誠 (Sei), 和 (Wa), 魂 (Kon) — sincerity, harmony, and spirit — the principles her late father instilled in her, and the throughline in how she approaches every team she works with.

Recognition in the speaking profession

In 2024, Natsuyo became the first Japanese speaker in the National Speakers Association’s history to earn the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP®) designation — a credential held by roughly 700 speakers worldwide (as of 2026). She’s also a TEDx speaker, a TEDx speaker coach, a World Class Speaking® coach, and a five-time Toastmasters International speech contest champion in New York City. She currently serves on the CSP Committee at the National Speakers Association, and previously served as a board director of its New York City chapter.

Author

Natsuyo co-authored The Success Blueprint with Brian Tracy, and has written several books on global communication and public speaking, including 『20字に削ぎ落とせ』(“Say It in 20 Words”) and 『ストーリーに落とし込め』(“Motivate with Your Own Story”), which have been translated into Chinese and Korean. Her English-language book, Uncover Your Message: The 3-Step Process for Presenting Your Ideas Effectively and Persuasively, Globally and Locally, was published by Routledge in 2024.

What she does today

Through keynotes, workshops, advisory engagements, and one-on-one coaching, Natsuyo works with global organizations to turn cross-cultural friction into trust, collaboration, and high-performing teams — using the same 3A+ Model she teaches from the stage.

Beyond the stage

Natsuyo is a proud mother of a teenage daughter who competes in figure skating, and a breast cancer survivor. Her work and her life run on the same belief: when you move beyond assumptions and see the individual in front of you, differences stop dividing people — and start moving them forward.
